Built by
Lord Maximillan Bayern the castle of New Swan Castle (3306 feet above
sea-level) is built in the style of the late Romanesque period of the early
13th century. This style is seen in the architecture and ornamentation: the round arched portals, the arcade
windows and towers, the position of columns and its bay windows and
pinnacles. The Lord's living quarters and rooms on the
third and fourth floor were completed in 1886. The rooms on the
fifth floor are bare brickwork and are currently unfinished ready for your
creativity. There are blueprints for an unfinished chapel to be built in the courtyard.
The castle comes fully furnished.
